Hello! My name is Ryan Choi and I enjoy turning my ideas into side-businesses and playing semi-professional fútbol (soccer) for ASLA.
After graduation, I was set to work at Flexport, but 3 days before my start date they notified me that my offer was no longer on the table due to restructuring. Now, I'm here to showcase my skills in building from 0 → 1.
Aside from building ideas, I'm a semi-professional soccer player for New York International FC and a Manchester United fanatic. I also enjoy other sports such as basketball and snowboarding and some of my other interests include real estate, SMB/boring businesses, edtech, cryptocurrency/web3.0, private equity, and technology.

FMJ is an AI-powered survey platform that generates professional, insightful questions and seamlessly manages your surveys and responses in one place. I worked on this project with a friend, and it was the first time working on the frontend.
Perpl0xity is a 2-hr webapp cloning project I did for a startup that I spent after hours to finish, using Search and Claude API. It was my first Typescript project since getting exposure to the language for a few months. I learned a lot about useEffect and useState that I didn't get to go in-depth for FMJ Survey.
When I was studying about the Airbnb business, I've noticed how there were Airbnb Superhosts who wanted to scale their revenue, but could not due to Airbnb's large platform fees. Thus, I wanted to experiment creating a simple direct to booking website for Airbnb Superhosts so that they could have more control over their reservations and not have to worry about a middle man taking away a large percentage of their revenue.
